We are preparing timber for an Italian restaurant called Zintino, in Canterbury. Our clients have selected, Brushed French Oak for the flooring. Wall cladding will be installed, this Brushed Douglas Fir and further cladding to the ceiling where they’ve selected our White Flaky Paint Strips. We think their interior will rock! http://www.reclaimed.uk.com/reclaimed-flooring-london.html
We were approached recently by Jeff Walker of Re-fuze. He wanted to source some reclaimed oak for use on some tables in wood and metal for a client. He settled on Vessel, a Cider Barrel Oak which we machined up for him. The tables are going to a local pizza restaurant, Yard Sale Pizza for their outdoor area. Re-fuze is based in Hackney and create specialist upcycled pieces, using a variety of materials. Why not check them out, http://re-fuze.co.uk/ And if you like the work you can follow on Intagram too, https://www.instagram.com/refuzeltd/ images one and two are of Vessel for Re-fuze and image three is a previous Vessel project where it was used as wall cladding.
Red Dog are to open a new premises, this time in Liverpool. A vacant nightspot in Liverpool city centre could be partly transformed into an American bar and eatery under new plans.
An application for a change of use of the ground floor, part basement and part first floor of Bold Street’s former Republik club has been submitted to Liverpool City Council to make way for a branch of Red Dog Saloon.
The London-based chain, which currently has restaurants in the capital’s Hoxton Square, Clapham North and Soho, is looking to branch out into Liverpool creating 50 full and part-time jobs.
If given the go-ahead, the new use will bring “no major proposed changes to the exterior of the building” according to a planning statement by Peterborough-based i-lid Design Ltd which has been submitted with the application.
The site, located on the corner of the city’s Bold Street and Slater Street, is not listed and situated in the Bold Street Conservation Area and the World Heritage Site Buffer Zone.
